Standards V: Instruction that Incorporates Technology
Know how to plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate instruction for
all students that incorporates the effective use of current
technology for teaching and integrating the Technology Applications
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) into the curriculum.
This is an area where I have experienced
growth because of the TATC experience. I have begun
using rubrics, self-assessments, portfolios, as well as delivering
my course content using a variety of mediums including web pages
with dynamic content, videos, and slide shows. In this
multimedia age, it stands to reason that most audiences prefer
instruction that supercedes blackboards and handouts.

subject

* brainstorm the main topics and possible sub-topics to include in
site
*create storyboard/image map

*creating the main page layout of the home page for web site
*add main navigation section to main layout.
*design home page using HTML formats but no local formatting
*add the content for the Teacher Help Web Site.
*create a CSS file defining all of the HTML elements
*apply Cascading Style Sheet
to that page.
Rationale:
I chose this project
as an artifact because it truly encompasses this standard of
planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating instruction that incorporates the effective use of current
technology for teaching. I storyboarded my plans, created my
curriculum, delivered the content using technology, and followed up
with an on-line rubric for evaluating the product.
Implications for future:
I have
actually already used this website in my classroom! I chose
this unit for my observation by my principal because it truly
incorporates "technology in the classroom!" Not only
did I teach my students about designing web pages, but I also used
published web pages as my source!
Reviewer's Comments:
