Digital Graphics/Animation

Notes/Handouts

What is needed to teach this lesson?

Digital Camera, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe LiveMotion, Microsoft FrontPage 2002 and Patience.

Rough Estimate on Length?

Depending on technology savvy of the students, in my opinion approximately 10 hours.

Lecture:

Lecture should be short and to the point.  Tell the students that they are going to go out and take a picture of their own backyard with a digital camera and download it onto a computer.  Then using Adobe Photoshop, the students will learn how to create a backyard with birdhouses with tools that will be taught to them.  The students will learn vocabulary that has to do with Digital Graphics and Animation.  The students will be expected to do what is on the Product Descriptor and will be graded by how close they follow it.  For Extra Credit they are to learn to use Adobe LiveMotion and animate a bird flying across the backyard.  Students will learn  Adobe Photoshop, Adobe LiveMotion and Microsoft FrontPage by getting on the computer and using classroom in a book, trial and error and hands on experience.

Handouts

Product Descriptor will be handed out to students along with Adobe Classroom in a book that is downloaded off of the Internet at the following URL.  http://www.adobe.com/education/cibs/cib_pdfs.html?submitButtonNamesACCEPT
