Step by Step Instructions |
1.) Using a Digital Camera, take a photo of your backyard. Be sure to take into account the question: “Where would a bird most likely want to build a nest in a birdhouse?”.
2.) Take several pictures as you might change your mind later as to which photo you will want to use.
Internet
1.) Search the Internet for birdhouse (.jpg) pictures. Download 3 or 4 of them to your Computer’s desktop so you will know where they are.
Adobe Photoshop
1.) Open the Backyard Photo in Photoshop. Open the bird house(‘s) in Photoshop.
2.) Utilizing the following tools in Photoshop, insert the birdhouse into the backyard photo where you decide a birdhouse should go.
Photoshop Tools: Move tool, Zoom tool, Extract, Rotate Canvas, Inverse, Trim, Rectangular Marquee tool, Background Eraser tool, image size, drop and drag image, flatten image.
6.) When you are thru editing your photo, save for web using the resolution for jpeg medium file, save as Photoshop .psd file.
Extra Credit:
Extra credit will be given for Digitally Animating a bird or birds flying in or around the birdhouse or the backyard (Using Adobe Livemotion) and also bird song sounds added to the web page using a .wav file.
7.) Search the Internet for birds that are flying (.jpg) or (.gif) pictures, bird song wave (.wav) files and download them to your desktop.
Adobe Photoshop
8.) Utilizing the following tools in Photoshop, take the bird out of the picture and save it as a Photoshop (.psd) file.
Photoshop Tools: Lasso tool, Background Eraser tool, image size, Inverse, Trim.
Adobe LiveMotion
9.) Create a new composition with a height and width of 500 pixels.
10.) Place a picture of the backyard after you have placed the birdhouses on the photo.
11.) Place a picture of a bird or birds flying.
12.) Open the Timeline/Composition Window.
13.) Utilizing the Transform and Position, set keyframes for various times for animating the bird or birds flying.
14.) If you want the birds to fly continuously, utilize the looping tool.
15.) If you want to add sound, utilize the solo sound event.
16.) Open the Export Palette and choose Macromedia Flash (SWF).
17.) Before saving as Macromedia Flash files, save your work as a LiveMotion .(.liv) file. Choose Window and open the Export Palette. Choose Macromedia Flash (SWF) (.swf) . Then choose Export and save file type as Macromedia Flash (SWF) (*.swf) and choose a name and save it to the desktop.
Frontpage 2000 or 2002
9.) Make a new web page and copy the .html and .swf file onto your web site. Make sure your .swf file is in your web site directory or the animation will not work!
10.) You may want to add sound to the web page utilizing the page properties and background sound.
