American families today are quite different than they were in earlier days. Our society as we have known it is deteriorating. The break-up of families seems to be one of the causes. As Americans we should strive to preserve the family unit by playing, praying, and staying together as means of support. Let's begin to build America's future as the older generations pass down traditions, morals, and wisdom to the younger generations.
Many families don't have the
Luxury
of strong family ties like we,
But
the following will only be a
Glimpse
of what there is to see.
It started
out so long ago
And
the legacy has continued,
Our
family has played, prayed, and stayed together
And
made many memories true.
We really
thought Noah was the only one
To
survive 40 days and 40 nights
But
multiply that by 10 grandchildren
And the games we've endured have been a plight.
The
tears and the fears
From the storms that we've weathered,
Have
only helped to
Make our 'raw hide' leathered.
We know
who holds tomorrow
And
together we will stand,
Even
though our precious father
We've had to place in God's hand.
The
legacy he began
With
a ring and a smile
Was
very fitting for him
As
he left this world in style.
The lessons we have 'caught'
Are
far better than those that were taught
For
the playing, praying, and staying
Are
ones we could never have bought.
Don't wonder if we'll make it,
Just
take a look and see
Not
only in the here and now
But
a forever family.
