Titles
Here are some tips to help you get the best results with titles.
Fonts
Some fonts produce better titles than others, Sans serif fonts, such as Arial work best. Make the text large and bold enough to read on screen. Although sizes vary for different fonts, 36-point size usually works well.
Colors
Some colors yield better titles than others. Depending on the color and brightness of the video image, white, a shade of gray, or black seem to work best. When creating titles on solid-color backgrounds, avoid highly saturated background colors. Here are a few examples:
Background Color Recommended Title Color
Blue Purple
Medium to dark blue Light blue or light green
Brown Orange or yellow
Medium gray Yellow
Medium to dark green Light green
Olive Green or yellow
Orange Red
Other Colors White, gray, or black
Title Duration
For the best results, be sure to leave a title on the screen long enough for the audience to read it twice.
