Camera Shots
1. Static Shot
· Shot where camera does not move.
2. Pan Shot
· A pan shot swivels the camera from side to side.
· Have a motivation to pan.
· Don't pan too fast
· Position yourself for the end of the pan.
· Begin and end your pan shot with a static shot.
3. Tilt Shot
· Shot pivots up or down.
4. Zoom
· A zoom shot can be a way of pointing something out.
5. Dolly Shot
· A shot in which the audience moves with the actors.
o A wheelchair
o A grocery cart
o A child's wagon
o A skateboard
6. Boom Shot
· A boom is when the whole camera is raised or lowered.
o A seesaw
o A cameraperson squatting, then slowly rising.
7. Circle
· Goes in a complete circle capturing a special moment.
8. Background
· Beware of things you do not want in the shot.
9. Foreground
· Frame the actor with something in the foreground.
