Production Equipment Available
Internet for preparation, projector for discussion. Resource Minimal equipment needed.
Time for Design and Production
Two weeks . Resource Allows for adequate time to complete project.
Department Technology Requirements Internet access and projector. Resource Standard available equipment.

Regarding Implementation Factors
Factors Pertinant Characteristics Resource/Constraint Initial Ideas to Address the Pertinent Characteristics

Technology Support Instructional Technologist Resource Minimal need likely for support.

Regarding Outcome Factors
Factors Pertinant Characteristics Resource/Constraint Initial Ideas to Address the Pertinent Characteristics
State Requirements TEKS per subject. Resource Clearly identified objectives.
Employer Needs
Helps to meet education and technology use requirements. Resource Verify technology requirement for the year.
Co-worker Needs
Librarian for computer lab schedule and notify other teachers. Resource Schedule computer lab and verify the date of project to see if okay with neighboring teachers.
Student Needs
TEKS and future real world exposure to required skills. Resource Prepare lesson to acheive goals.

Regarding Other Factors
Main Topic Sub-Topic Involved Readiness to Learn Degree of Learning Difficulty Possible Instructional Strategies
1. Students will learn the importance of communication.

1. Students will be able to contrast the differences in open communication and closed.

2. Students will be able to identify the different methods of communication.
Previous knowledge of key terms such as open and closed communciation and an understanding of the different types of communication skills. Students find it difficult to NOT communciate. Previous short projects using role play will demonstrate the use of body language without verbal talking.

2. Groups will be able to identify a role for each participant.
Different group role discussion.

Not difficult for students to understand the different positions.

Question and answer class discussion about what each persons role would be in a variety of situations.
3. Students will cooperatively develop and implement a plan for a newspaper structure 3. Students will cooperatively develop and implement a plan for a newspaper structure. Basic computer skills for research and an appreciation for diversity. Leaders have a difficult time including all opinions. Quiet students do not speak up. Group students heterogeneously to assist each other with computer skills and complete a pairing lesson plan where each student shares information about themselves with the other.
