Aspect 2: The social system
Teacher needs to be comfortable with the technology and interact
with the students. The students will be collaborating with the
teacher/mentor and other students during the entire lesson. Even though
this is an individual project, the students will be discussing with
others pertinent information to be included (brainstorming) and seeking
help from their peers to complete their newsletter/brochure.
|
|
Aspect 3: The role of the instructor
The role of the teacher will change as the lesson
unfolds. The mentor and teacher will plan the lesson. Then the teacher
will be the major facilitator/guide throughout the classroom/research
part of the lesson. The teacher will guide the students through
discussions and brainstorming. He will guide the students as they complete
their own research and production.
|
|
Aspect 4: The support system
I will not be involved in the actual teaching of the
lesson since the students and teacher will be using the Library and
classroom. When the students are in the production phase of their
project, I will be available to assist the teacher. The teacher will
conduct the majority of the technology instruction. I will assist during
the first 2 periods of the day, then the teacher will take over and I
will be available in the background to help.
