The learners have mastered the different kinds of poetry. They have completed activities using and understanding theme in a set of poems. Those learners that are strong writers will find this activity easy, whereas those that struggle to write, may have more difficulty. Learners  will have the freedom to choose their own theme. This can make writing easier for those that do not enjoy writing.
Design a website to showcase poems
  1. Develop a home page with 7 linked pages
  2. Use font, color, layout to create unity.
Most learners are very familiar with FrontPage has a web design tool. Some students may experience difficulty. Sample website, templates for student use.

  1. Understand key points in an analysis and critique.
  2. Learner has composed 7 original poems.
Learner is familiar with the process of  analyzing poetry.  Learner is familiar with key points in a critique of literature. Some learners will struggle with critiquing their own work. Guide the learner through the critique process. Discuss positive points that can come from a critique.
