Curriculum Focus: Science and Technology

 

Target Goals:

Student: Use data loggers to gain understanding of how different situations can effect a plants growth and to form a hypothesis of what a plant needs. Analysis the data in a spreadsheet and make a graph to represent it.

Teacher: To enjoy and gain confidence in integrating technology into her curriculum.

 

Professional Goals:

To gain knowledge and confidence in using mentoring and coaching styles to assist teachers in the creation of technology integrated lesson plans. To be able to evaluate the needs of diverse learners and select assistive technologies that will enhance their learning.

Explain:

In order to arrange small collaborative groups in the classroom the wireless PCs were used.

Student and group behavior was controlled with management techniques: A quite signal for giving instructions, reward with marbles in a jar, team stop signs, writing stop on the board and erase one letter at a time when too noisy
