Adult Student Learning
Learner factors that might impact learning in the classroom environment.

Analyzing the student learners targeted in the instructional design being developed is a means to identify the learner characteristics that will likely impact the process and outcomes of the learning experience.

Goal: Teachers will learn how to use Webccat to search, select, and print appropriate TAKS problems for their students to use in class. (As determined by teacher or benchmark).

 Age 20's-50's years of age + Some teacher have been able to learn how to use the online program to create their TAKS handouts..
Gender Distribution 55% women(11) & 45% men(9) + A good balance mix of students.
Teaching Experience 1/2 year - 17 yrs of experience + Teacher experienced in writing and creating TAKS should have not problem in understanding how to select appropriate objectives.
Disability or Impairment None + No modifications are required.
Developmentally Appropriate All activities are appropriate for their stage of development  + Students have the necessary knowledge and skills to use to learn Real Slideshow.
Prerequisite Knowledge Core Teachers have the knowledge and skill required to select appropriate TEKS objectives as per benchmark. + Elective teachers will not be as knowledgeable as core teachers in selecting appropriate TAKS objectives in class.
Related Experience Teacher have been trained on how to use Grade Speed. + Teacher already know how to click and drag and generate reports.
Motivation for Learning Intrinsic motivation due to increase students TAKS performance on TAKS Exam. + Some teachers would prefer to use Eye on Mastery or Step up to TAKS as their primary source for TAKS materials.
Attitude Toward Subject Mostly positive with the core area teachers. +/- Positively fun and exciting.
Expectations from Lesson Teacher will be better prepared to select appropriate TAKS problems that meet student needs. + Realistic Goal that can only benefit everyone.
