Teacher computer in classroom with presentation station or Smart Board This computer is slow, but will run PowerPoint.  Teacher prefers to use the 4th grade team Smart Board for initial lesson delivery.  The teacher will have to schedule a time to use the Smart Board computer and lesson will be conducted in that location. Match
PowerPoint All computers have PP installed.  The presentation can be viewed by absent students on any computer. Match
2.  Produce original works that demonstrate the six traits of good writing.

Internet access

Internet connection is unpredictable. Teacher will create a document template (brochure and newsletter) in Publisher for students to access via the server if the Internet is down.

Match
School file server Students will need a location on the server to save documents created for the brochure or newsletter. Contingency plan if server is down - teacher will back up students files to put on floppies if necessary. Match
E-mail access to saved files The websites students will use to create their brochures or newsletters give access to saved documents via an email account.  The students can use the teacher's email address.  She will then need to give the resulting URLs to saved work to the students. (Word document with links, for example.) Preparation needed - make sure students know to give their project a unique name  Match
Printer Color printer is preferred, but cost of color cartridge has to be considered.  It is possible that PTO will donate cartridges.  If not, documents can be printed in black and white. Match

There are only 2 computers in the classroom for the students to work at.  There is a Windows XP lab available for sign-up.  There are also computers in the library for students to use.  If the teachers wants to present a computer lesson to the whole class she will need to use the Computer/Smart Board setup in another room. Match
5.  Evaluate and adjust to the needs of diverse learners. Assistive technology will depend on learner needs. Teacher will more than likely need support from Instructional Technologist depending on the Assistive Technology needed. Match
