Learning Connections: 1) Students will use prior knowledge on Egyptian Hieroglyphics to understand the concepts needed.  2) Students will use technology to gather information needed.  3) The use of computers ensures that students create their own slideshow while incorporating a fun activity 4) The entire presentation can be seen and reflected upon.

 

Procedures for Learning Activities/Tasks:

Collaborated with Jennifer Cloud the Special Education Director of Gatesville High School to obtain information on options available to all intermediate students

Collaborative Learning, Group Discussions, Alpha Smart for note taking, Microphone for Speech Recognition, Demonstration.

 

Additional Assistive technology devices may be used as determined by needs of students.  GISD offers the Alpha Smarts, microphones for Speech Recognition and individual modifications for students.  In this particular 6th grade class we are modify the assignment due date for the learner that needs assistance.  No other modifications are needed for the students in this class.
