Curriculum Focus: Introducing the Student Handbook Rules/Regulations in an interesting way

Target Goals:

    Student

    1.       Have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations outlined in the Student Handbook.

    2.       Take ownership in the rules and regulations in the Handbook.

   

 

    Teacher

    3.       Instill within the HS students the importance of rules/regulations.

    4.       Present the Handbook information in an interesting presentation.

    5.       Encourage beonding with students in respect to Student Handbook rules/regulations.

   6.        Set objectives and procedures for module, incorporating technology for enhancement.

    7.       Address the needs of diverse learners.

  

Professional Goals:

    8.       Ask pertinent and leading questions to help clarify teacher goals and procedures.

    9.       Use coaching/mentoring skills and strategies to facilitate educator use of technology in the teaching and learning environment.

Explain:

Power Point presentation will be shown to groups of approximately 200 students in the auditorium. Afterwards, there will be a question and answer session. Students will take Crossword Puzzles with them to complete. Acknowledgement Forms will be returned at a later date.

Other:The diverse learners who need additional assistance understanding the rules will be shown the PP in a second, smaller group presentation.
