Through student written communication students are able to verbalize in their own words their feelings/thoughts about the project, working in a group, and their progress. The daily log helps the students monitor their own progress in the project. These forms of assessments allow students to be accountable for their actions or non-actions.
Teacher monitoring allows for student support and helping to keep students on task.
Product evaluation not only allows for teacher evaluation, but also for peer evaluation.
