Using prior knowledge, students will participate in filming each step of the project (research, field trip to visit historical markers, final research presentation on history of markers, and planting of native flowers/plants.

Using prior knowledge, students will edit the video and prepare a documentary presentation of the historical project

 4. Students will extend the learning environment beyond the school walls through the creation of a historical project and collaboration of the Biology, Social Studies, and Video Departments.  Collaborative Group Work

Aspect 2: The Social System
Describe the interpersonal structure of the instructional experience.

The students with higher computer skills will assist the students that need help. Students with experience in search engines will make suggestions of search engines to use.    
       
       
       

Aspect 3: The Role of the Instructor
Describe your general instructional role. For example, will you present material, guide students as they research their own issues, etc.

I will demonstrate the skills needed to research the internet including making suggestions for search engines. I will guide students as they research native plant and historical marker information. I will guide students as they plan their oral presentations. I will assist students in planning the video project and obtaining the necessary release forms.
