Analyzing the adult learners is a means to identify the learner characteristics that will likely impact the process and outcomes of the learning experience

Factors:
· Age -
Age 36; Advantage; Anxious to learn new technology to encorporate into her classroom.
· Sex
- Female; Advantage; She is comfortable with me as a co-worker.
· Racial, Ethnic Diversity - Caucasion; Advantage
· Educational Level - College graduate - PE Major ;
Disadvantage & Advantage; Although she is a college graduate, her computer skills are minimal. To minimize this, we will assess her basic computer skills working up from there.
· Teaching Experience - 15 years; Advantage; She has experience in the classroom.

· Developmentally Appropriate - One-on-one is appropriate since teacher has minimal knowledge of computers and needs individual help;
Advantage; To maximize this, she recently received a new Dell computer and is excited to learn more about it.
· Prerequisite Knowledge - Computer skills; Disadvantage; Her computer skills are minimal so we will start basic and go from there preparing a check-off list as she progresses.
· Related Experience or Skill Level - Minimal; Disadvantage; To minimize this, I have assisted her in using Eclass for her grades and repairing her computer problems so she trusts me.
· Perception of Role as Student - Very eager to learn; Advantage; She has no problem with me as her teacher.
· Motivation for Learning - Tools to help her in the classroom; Advantage; Her career class has been needing to use integration of technology so this just what she would like to learn...not only to use in her classroom, but also for lectures, and computer knowledge.

Analyzing the environment is a means to identify the issues that will impact the (a) process of the design and production, (b) implementation, and (c) outcomes of the learning experience.

Factors:
Design and Production Factors:
· Materials Required - Computer, paper, career books
· Production Equipment Available - Computer, Digital Camera
· Time for Design and Production - 5 periods of 45 minutes
· Department Technology Requirements - None

Implementation Factors:
· Class Size - 1 teacher - 8 students
· Class Period Length - 45 minutes daily, Monday thru Friday
· Location - Computer PC Lab,
* Seating Arrangement - 24 student stations, 1 teacher station

* Lighting - Well lit
· Temperature - Constant 70 degrees
· Noise- Small amount
· Equipment - Camera, computer, Premiere software,
· Technology Support - Available on site
