Content factors that may impact adult learning.

Analyzing the content is a means to identify in general terms the topics to be addressed in your course and to analyze these topics in terms of the prequisite sub-topics, and degree of learning difficulty

Main Topics Sub-Topics (What Is Involved In Learning Each Main Topic?) Readiness To Learn (Prerequisites Mastered) Degree of Learning Difficulty (Real / Imagined) Possible Instructional Strategies to Reduce or Manage Learning Difficulty
Develop a webpage using Netscape 1. Understand folder structure
2. Insert text
3. Create links
4. Insert graphics
Learner has used Word to create documents which include clipart. Moderate difficulty Use diskette with pre-created folder structure.
Select student research sites. 1. Determine research topic
2. Locate research sites
Learner is comfortable developing lessons and searching for resources. Low level of difficulty.
Capture graphics from Internet.

1. Locate clip-art sites
2. Save graphics to disk
