Factors

Description

Advantages or Constraint Initial Ideas for Maximizing Positive Factors or Minimizing Negative Factors

Expectations from Course self management/

creativity

problem solving

+   Students will be expected to know how to manage and manipulate files, save a project, insert text, transitions, photos, movie clips, and sound.
Competitiveness yes +   8th graders are usually competitive when using their own ideas and working in groups.

Environment Factors  Analyzing the environment as a means to identify the issues that will impact the (a) process of the design and production, (b) implementation, and (c) outcomes of the learning experience

Contact factors that may impact learner-center instruction: Analyzing the content is a means to identify in general terms the topic to be addressed in your course and to analyze these topics and sub-topics in terms of the pre-requisite in terms of topics, and degree of learning difficulty.

Main Topics Sub-Topics ( What is Involved in Each Main Topic Readiness to Learn Degree of Learning difficulty Possible Instructional Strategies
Create an animated summary of past Service Learning Projects. Students will  be able to research how past service learning projects derived and were completed. Students interest should escalate when learning about and researching past projects. Higher thinking skills. Teach students to search network files to gather needed information, photos, and clips.
Students will be able to provide a concise summarization of research material. Use gathered information and summarize. Confidence will build as material is selected for use. Higher thinking skills Students will be guided as to how to select information needed.
Produce an animation video Develop a storyboard to begin the project.

Show examples of a detailed storyboard.

Motivation should high be when students are in control of their own learning. Higher thinking skills Show examples and give guideline as to creating the video. Teach needed skills of the software program. Teach how to take short clips using digital camcorder.
