MTTC Course - Fall 06

Purpose: Guide teaches in creating a website in First Class (using First Class only, not FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.).
Intended Audience: Teachers (all teachers in our district have a First Class account)

Home Page: Brief purpose of site
1. Site Design: tips for good site design for classroom sites
2. Creating a home page: how to create a home page folder and home page
3. Formatting: how to format content
4. Inserting graphics: how to insert graphics and tips on graphics
5. Adding Pages: how to add additional pages
6. Adding Links: how to create links to other First Class pages, external links and mailto links.
7. Publishing: What is the URL for my site and other tips
Resources: Web design links and example classroom sites.

Structure is random - teachers can visit pages in the site in any order. Some of the pages are numbered if teachers would like to use the site as a tutorial. Most teachers have attended basic training on how to create a home page in First Class. See DIAGRAM below.
