2: The Social System
|
| This unit will be scheduled
near the end of October and into November as we approach the
holiday season. The timing of the unit will add relevance to
the lesson. Students will choose their own groups, celebration
to study, products, and visuals. After research, each pair of
students will show understanding of their celebration by creating
a "booth" to depict the aspects of their holiday.
Students in the class will explore each booth and be able to
make comparisons based on their explorations. |

3: The Role of the Instructor

| The instructor will present
the project details to the students. She will guide the students,
through brainstorming activities, to research their chosen topics.
As the students gather materials and create projects, the teacher
will act as facilitator. She will monitor progress and redirect
if necessary. She will use a rubrics to access student learning. |
