The teachers will use a variety of tools and effective instructional strategies to enhance a learner-centered environment.

Instructor will create a comfortable learning environment by having music, and snacks while participants enter.

Instructor will clearly state learning goals and objectives for the session.

Expose prior knowledge by leading discussion of implementing video into curriculum.

Instructor will introduce United Streaming video and provide step-by-step handouts on how to use United Streaming web resource.

Instructor will demonstrate how to search for tools and resources in United Streaming by TEKS objective, grade level, or subject.

Instructor will provide written documentation with ideas on how to use United Streaming resources to strengthen curriculum.

Instructor will demonstrate how to stream and download files saving them to the server.

Instructor will demonstrate how to incorporate a video into a slideshow, so it can be built into curriculum and projected onto screen for large audience viewing.

Instructor will provide time for exploration of individual content areas and time for reflection and sharing of teacher's findings.

Participants will listen attentively to demonstrations.

Participants will actively engage in researching content area TEKS, grade level and subject area resources.

Participants will practice locating and saving video and other resources to the server, contributing to the campus database of videos and images on file.

Participants will collaborate with peers to share information found.

Aspect 2: The Social System
Describe the interpersonal structure of the instructional experience.
This session requires participants to interact to share prior knowledge and experiences while researching new content related resources. Participants will participate in large group discussions on how to best implement video and image files into curriculum to enhance student learning. Teachers will be responsible for finding, streaming, and downloading information to share with their campus on the campus server.
Aspect 3: The Role of the Instructor
Describe your general instructional role. For example, will you present material, guide students
as they research, etc.?

The instructor will demonstrate how to locate, stream, and download information from United Streaming web site and facilitate learning by participants as they research information according to their assigned curriculum and TEKS. The instructor will assess knowledge by observation and feedback from participants.

Describe the types and amount of instructional, technical, and other resource support required for the instruction (e.g., instructional materials, communication capabilities.)
