Analyzing the content is a means to identify in general terms
the topics to be addressed in your lesson and to analyze these
topics in terms of the requisite sup-topics, and degree of learning
difficulty.
| Main Topics |
Sub-Topics (What Is Involved In Learning Each
Main Topic?) |
Readiness To Learn |
Degree of Difficulty |
Possible Instructional Strategies |
| Capturing pictures from the digital camera |
1. Hooking up the camera to the computer
2. Capturing the pictures
3. Saving the pictures in the shared folder |
The students have been using the came. Most should be familiar
with using network files. |
This should be relatively easy for most students. The the
use of the shared folder may need to be explained in more
depth to some. |
Demonstrate how to do this and then allow each student to
it on their own with the teacher watching or a student that
has already mastered the concept. |
| Using the basic editing features of Photoshop |
1. Opening a picture in Photoshop from a shared location
2. Edit the photo by cropping, image size, lighting etc.. |
The learners already know how to open a file in a software
package |
For most students this will be a relatively easy task. I
may be confusing at first and may take a couple of tries to
get it right. |
Using a digital TV or data projector show the concepts that
need to be mastered. go through several examples and then
give them the opportunity to practice while being monitored. |
| Saving the pictures in the appropriate format for their
use |
1. The difference between TIFF and JPG
2. How to save in TIFF and JPG
3. When to save in TIFF and JPG
4. Saving into the shared folder |
Students already know how to save documents on a disk or
hard drive |
This may be more complicated. Many students will forget
to choose their file format and not remember when to use which
format and why. |
Show how to save the pictures and how to place in the shared
folder. Explain why they must be saved in this format. |
