Description: The 1001 Mentoring Field Experience was an opportunity for me to work with other teachers seeking the Master Technology Teacher Certification in order to develop my skills in working with subject area teachers to integrate technology into their classroom activities. The experience had the additional benefit of allowing me the opportunity to explore issues such as the use of assistive technology and a wide range of instructional strategies.

Description: My 1002 Mentoring Field Experience focused on the needs of adult learners. As the first campus to implement the networked version of the Kurzweil Educational System, it was very important to have an effective implementation of this technology tool to assist struggling readers. By providing training and support which not only taught the basic skills required, but which also provided an opportunity for teachers to have input regarding appropriate utilization in their classroom and to provide direction for continued training, this mentoring experience was highly successful.
