There are 14 organiztions offering MTT certification. There are 167 MTT certified teachers and ESC Region 11 has 35 certified. We carry 20 % for the state.
ESC Region 11 has a 93% program completion rate and a 86% average success rate over the last three years on the MTT exam. The state average is 68%.

Recognized by TCEA as the "Best Staff Development Program" for 2004-05!
A Master Technology Teacher certificate may be obtained by individuals who:
Hold a Technology Applications or Technology Education certificate, complete an SBEC-approved Master Technology Teacher Preparation Program, AND pass the SBEC Texas Examinations for Master Teachers (TExMaT) Technology certification examination; OR
Hold a teaching certificate, have at least three years of teaching experience, complete an SBEC-approved Master Technology Teacher Preparation Program, AND pass the SBEC Texas Examinations for Master Teachers (TExMaT) Technology certification examination.

ESC Region II MTTC Pre-Preparation Online Course
MTTC Pre-Preparation online course is about exploring the possibilites of obtaining certification and engage in projects and activities that emphasize video editing and the other Technology Applications (8-12) TEKS covered on the exam. Prerequisite for this course is to have Internet access and the ability to use high-end technology tools to create Web pages, multimedia, graphics, and video.
Collaboration with the network of other service centers is a part of this program offering.

- • Demonstrate knowledge of compression schemes for a variety of file types (e.g., photographs, animation, audio, video, graphics) and know compression strategies, programs, and techniques to conserve memory and retain image integrity when digitally capturing files.
- • Know how to use techniques for capturing and editing audio components during the video production process.
- • Demonstrate knowledge of techniques used in postproduction (e.g., editing and creating control and/or time coded tracks; creating transitions, captions, and titles; applying 2-D and 3-D animation effects).

Your Application Fee must be on file before we can process your MTTC application.
Upon acceptance in the MTTC program your Program Fee must be paid by the MTTC orientation before the start of the first course in order to receive any provided materials.

FAQ's
Q. Are there any funds allocated to the MTT certification.
A. No, not at this time.
Q. What teaching assignment/s are aligned to the MTT certificate.
A. None. The intent of the certification is to be a campus technology mentor for educators and students.
Q. Can I just take the exam and not a MTT program.
A. No, the law requires that all learners successfuly complete both an SBEC approved MTT program and the MTT exam for certification.
