Summary of Animation:

I used LiveMotion 2.o to create the animation graphic. I also used PhotoShop7.0 and ImageReady 7.0 to create the parts of the graphic. The photos were of my son Kenneth at age 6 and me as Santa. The first and last photos were scanned from an old photo and I don't remember where it came from. I set the opacity of each photo in succession a little higher starting with the first set at 65% and the final set to 100%. The last photo I also changed the brightness and contrast to give the feeling of night time. Each photo overlapped the previous by about 1 second to get a blending effect. The words were created in ImageReady 7.0 and saved seperately. I then placed them in succession and modified them once they were placed on the graphic. The words were set to appear and disappear as the song played to the graphic. The song is Elvis's version of "Here Comes Santa Claus" and it was set to 128 Kbps to play in the time alloted for the animation, it was much longer when I downloaded it as a .wav file.

Summary Of Unity:

There is a sence of unity in the animation because of the topic that it is set on. I have been preforming as Santa for about 20 years and around this time of year I start feeling the itch to get back into the suit again. When this assignment came up I knew right away what my theme would be. It did take me a while to gather my thoughts on how to go about it though. I chose the colors of the letters to sort of play to the Christmas theme, but mostly so they would show up against the background of the photos.I chose the red textured background because it had the holiday look and it made a nice frame around the photos.
