Multimedia

The multimedia teacher has the knowledge and skills needed to teach the Foundations, Information Acquisition, Work in Solving Problems, Communication strands of the Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in multimedia, in addition to the content described in Technology Applications Standards I-V.

I have learned so much since the video class. In fact, I gave gone back and done some different things since I created my video stuff. We created a video yearbook this year and it has been a really interesting learning experience.

I chose Seinfeld (the situation comedy) as the subject for my multi-media project. I have always loved this show and it is not only very visual, but it is all about words and their presentation. I thought it would be excellent material for a multi-media presentation to draw attention. It was difficult at first to mix all the different sounds, but after awhile I got the hang of Live Motion and TsunamiPro (demo version). For the collage animation, I used Live Motion. It was fun, but I think I need more time on it.

Seinfeld-Why did it have to end?

Description:
For this assignment, you could choose any topic and create a multi-media presentation that included video, and audio files, as well as links to related sites.

Rationale:

I chose Seinfeld as the topic because lots of people like(d) the show and it has lots of material when it comes to presentation and getting people's attention. The characters always have something to say, and from all the sound clips I found, it is obvious that you don't have to just see them to be entertained by them.

Implications for future:

It was hard, but really helped me get a better grasp how to incorporate video and audio into a website. (it's harder than it looks) I also learned more about Adobe GoLive.

Reviewers Comments: All I can say about your multimedia project is that I love it, love it, love it. . . . It took your splash page a long time to download, but it was very cute and well worth the wait. I also liked the animation from the Never heard of it link. You did a very good job at showing people how funny Seinfeld is.
