Desktop Publishing Newsletter

Desktop Publishing

Date Created:

Source:

Info was initially provided and then I added my own examples.

Media:
Adobe Pagemaker 7.0

Description:

This is a newsletter designed to introduce people to desktop publishing. It contains examples of different types of design elements and a how-to section.

Rationale:

This was created to help the user understand more of the basics of design and the dos and don'ts of creating a product. The newsletter would be given to those just starting in desktop publshing to give them an overview.

Implications for future:

This would be a good continuation assignment so that students could add to their skills and keep the newsletter as a reference tool.

Reviewers Comments:

What a pretty way to title your newsletter. I especially like your D in Desktop Publishing in your title. I can tell you spent a lot of time and energy on your newsletter. It looks very nice.

Reviewers Comments:

Very good work, Traci. Using Pagemaker gave your newsletter a more professional appearance (as opposed to the Publisher files). You obviously have some expertise in DTP and it shows! I found the bleed particularly interesting. I can't say that I'm familiar with that technique either. It adds to your product. Looks like you put some original content into your newsletter (like the how to corner) also, which helps those of us who are new to this TA.
