Description:
This document was prepared to accompany a project proposal presentation
for Dr. Randy Douglas, Director of Educational Technology, ESC Region
XI, to propose purchasing a suite of software to be used to develop
a web-based media portal for live video presentations from ESC XI.
Rationale:
I chose to include this document because it represents the results
of a high level of knowledge of current technologies (video streaming,
web publishing, and networking), a solid working knowledge of the
related terminology and concepts, and the ability to make decisions
based upon that knowledge.
Implications for future:
This is a project that will become an integral part of the video
resources provided to campuses across Region XI and, as such, a
large part of my daily work responsibilities. In the future, I will
continue to need to be able to make similar, and even more complex
decisions and this will continue to be an essential skill for me.
