Watchin' the Grass Grow

Weird, Wild and Wacky Camera Techniques

Assignment:

Create a 1-2 minute video displaying at least three weird, wild, and wackly camera techniques. There were not many rules on this one, just to be creative and have fun! Like any good video, although, it does have to have a point or message. Include some kind of narration so we know what you are doing.

Project Development:

  • Came up with tractor idea
  • Researched for music & graphics
  • Emailed for permission to use music
  • Created a shot list
  • Filmed my dad on tractor
  • Created the storyboard
  • Captured & edited in VideoWave
  • Added title and credits slides
  • Added music clip
  • Compressed in VideoWave
  • Created Web Pages
  • Tested links
  • Dropped off video
  • Posted!
Reflection:

The hardest part of creating this video was just getting started. It took several days of thinking to decide what shots I'd take and how I'd film them. It is getting easier to put clips together and add music. I really enjoy the editing part! I am still working on video compression. When I get the file size I want, the audio sounds bad and the video is really pixelated.
