Source: My partner and I used several different programs to create this web page. We used Adobe LiveMotion to create the animation header as well as the animation page - parts and practice. We exported and displayed the animation on the web page as a shockwave element. We used Adobe Photoshop to edit all of the pictures and graphics. Adobe GoLive was the web software that was used to create the entire web page. The simple video was created using MGI VideoWave 4, it includes: transitions, audio, and mixture of diverse media.
Description: During our four day training for TATC at Region XI, we divided into groups and made a web page focusing on one of the TA Subject Areas. My group chose Digital Graphics and Animation. Even though we chose Digital Grahics and Animation, we still had to incorporate all of the TA Subjects into our web page. My partner was experienced at web pages and coded the entire site. I was in charge of creating the animation header and doing the digital graphics page. I mainly used two different programs. I used Adobe LiveMotion to create the animation header. I downloaded pictures from the Internet and then edited them appropriately using Adobe Photoshop. My partner put all of the pages together since I had never done any of that before.
Rationale: This was my first ever digital graphics, animation, video and web page that I had ever created. If I wouldn't have had a partner to lean on and ask questions then I would have been completely lost. I learned a tremendous amount of information from my partner just in the four days that we did this project. This project definitely reflects the communication and collaboration of a group. We both worked on our separate pages at home and then put them together during our allotted class time.
Implications for future: By looking at this small web page and remembering how lost I felt, I know that I have come a long way! I would never have made it this far without the help of my group members, my peers, my colleagues and my instructors. I know that most of the projects that we created in TATC were individual projects but when you are just learning the software programs and in some cases the techniques, individual projects turn in to group ones before you know it. I would have never survived without the help of all the people mentioned above. This entire TATC experience really represents synthesizing knowledge, creating and modify solutions, and evaluating results in a way that supports the work of individuals and groups in problem-solving situations. I will use these experiences to enrich my teaching methods as well as the lives of my students.
