Jamie Crider's Professional Goals

I will strive to obtain the following goals:

  • To successfully complete the TATC program and receive my Technology Applications certification.
  • To become the best teacher that I can be in my subject areas.
  • To obtain my master's degree in Accounting.
  • To teach my students through real life applications.
  • To learn the TEKS and align them with my lesson plans.
  • To acquire a solid background and understanding of Desktop Publishing and Animation.
  • To instill in my students the importance of being life-long learners.

I think that all of these goals are very attainable. Most of the goals listed are ones that I will have to continue to achieve throughout my life. I love to learn so that will not be a problem. I want to gain as much knowledge as I can and pass it on to my students so that they can be better prepared for the real world. Some teachers just teach the textbook and never apply it to real world situations. I do not want to be one of those teachers. I want students to walk out of my class and actually remember and apply what they have learned to something relevant in their lives.
