Reflection
I publish business cards for technology support to give to the staff and administration at the beginning of each year. I have used PrintShop in the past but have expanded my horizon and used Microsoft Publisher to make the business card more detailed. The creation of an icon to represent a particular area of business or service can be used in many areas of the curriculum.

Description:
I created a business card that reflected who I am and what I do.
My product included a logo, a message and was published in a universal readability file format.
Rationale:
I included this artifact in my portfolio because it shows how detailed a small production can be and just how important it can be to an individual and business. Business cards are one of the most personal publications a business or individual can use to promote their business or the service they may be offering. Business cards can be used within an organization to give information on a service or in the business world to introduce a person to a business professional. I feel business cards are much like ones name, very personal and reflective of that person or business.
Implications for future:
I will use the business card publication in my desktop publishing classes and the community business/technology classes. As I teach young people to prepare for the future it is important that they understand and identify with a professional look. The creation of a personal business card can be used to develop their business professionalism.
