My observation experience included information
on Digital Video, Multimedia, and Internet
resources. This experience occurred at the TCEA
conference held in February 2003. I chose these
workshops because the subject areas were of
interest to me, and because they dealt with
ideas for the classroom and copyright issues.
The Digital Video workshop gave software ideas,
which helped me with my software decision, and
gave a very useful handout on video production,
format, and resources. The Multimedia workshop
covered anticipatory sets to help present a
lesson or other subject areas. Additional topics
included copyright issues dealing with graphics
and music, and how to create an appealing
presentation. My observation experience ended
with a workshop on Internet resources that can
be used for web quests or other online student
activities. I have used many of these ideas in
my classes, as well as referred to the copyright
information. The experience was very
informative, and one that I will continue to
use.
